Our Commitment to Responsible Stewardship

More than seven decades after our company was founded, the cornerstone of our many different operations is to conduct business in a way that is safe for our employees and customers while being environmentally friendly.

We are continually researching and implementing ways to increase internal operating efficiency in every possible way.

Responsible stewardship is integrated into every aspect of our businesses.

Many TKI products create significant opportunities to conserve water in the process of fertilizing and protecting crops. Other TKI products can be used for the same purposes that make it possible to eliminate the use of cyanide and other environmentally unfriendly chemicals.

While assessing ways to minimize any environmental or safety impact of our products, we have ongoing and mandatory internal initiatives to focus on safety during every step – from manufacturing to transportation to product use in the field.

TKI participates in the sustainable and legislative initiatives undertaken by a number of trade associations, including CropLife America, The Fertilizer Institute and global sustainability initiatives sponsored by The Sulphur Institute. Our parent company represents all TKI business units in its support of the global Responsible Care initiative sponsored by the International Council of Chemical Associations.

Crop Vitality Products Align with 4R Nutrient Management

Numerous industry organizations working in partnership with global food retailers and distributors are advocating for greater nutritional stewardship in agriculture.

Many of these organizations have introduced precision agriculture programs like the 4Rs. The 4R Nutrient Stewardship model provides a framework to achieve cropping system goals, such as increased production, increased farmer profitability, enhanced environmental protection and improved sustainability. With Crop Vitality products customers can apply the right fertilizer at the right time, rate, source and place. For more information, click here.
