Tessenderlo Kerley

oil refining

Cyntrol® (ammonium polysulfide solution) provides a needed tool for the refinery. As refineries are being driven to lower quality crudes, problems associated with nitrogen are on the increase. A major problem is the generation of cyanide in the various thermal cracking units, primarily the catalytic cracking and coking processes.

Cyntrol® scavenges the free cyanide converting it to thiocyanide. Thiocyanide is easily handled in the refineries water treatment facility. Tessenderlo Kerley provides a technical survey that tests for cyanide generation.

We utilize onsite cyanide testing as well as additional laboratory testing focusing on operational variables. We provide the refinery a comprehensive report, including corrective recommendations to address the cyanide issue. Consult the MSDS for handling and storage information.

MPR Services, Inc., continues to improve our technology in the area of amine and glycol cleaning. These improvements have resulted in the development of HSSX®, SSX™ ,HCX™ and MPRox processes. We provide mobile and permanent installations of the service units.

MPR has successfully cleaned millions of gallons of amine and glycol formulations at major oil refineries, gas, ammonia and coal plants as well as coal gasification facilities. The HSSX Process cleans amine and glycol solutions while operating on-line or off-line, and can be used successfully to clean spent amine form storage tanks. MPR's programs contribute to reduced operating expenses, more stable operations, reduced environmental concerns and ability to control costs with guaranteed performance.
